BREAKING: NFL Laughingstock Tries to Claim Rory McIlroy as a “Die-Hard Fan” — But the Golf Star’s Reaction Says It All

In what might be the most desperate PR stunt of the season, one of the NFL’s most hopeless franchises yes, the team that can’t win a coin toss, let alone a playoff game is now trying to associate themselves with global golf icon Rory McIlroy. The reason? They think slapping his name next to theirs might make people forget just how bad their record is.

According to sources (and a very suspicious Instagram post), the team recently shared a photo of McIlroy in golf gear… casually edited with their logo in the background. The caption? “Our guy Rory repping us all the way to the green!” Never mind that Rory has literally never acknowledged them in public or private.

Fans were quick to call out the post, with one reply going viral: “Rory wouldn’t even pick y’all in a Madden sim.” Another simply said, “He’s from Northern Ireland, not Cleveland. Be serious.” Insiders say the team’s marketing staff is scrambling to rebrand themselves after another soul-crushing season, and McIlroy  who has no known connection to the franchise was randomly chosen because “he’s a winner and we need that energy.” No official statement has been made by McIlroy himself, but someone close to the golfer allegedly laughed for a full 30 seconds before saying, “That’s news to us.”
