Michigan Tech’s Ringhand sets 5k School Record at Platteville Invitational.

At the 2024 UW-Platteville Invitational, Michigan Tech’s Tucker Ringhand set a new school record in the 5,000-meter run, clocking an impressive 14:23.68. This performance surpassed the previous record of 14:23.70 set by Matthew Pahl in 2019, marking a significant achievement for the Huskies’ track and field program.

Ringhand, a senior from Crosby, Minnesota, has consistently demonstrated his prowess in distance running. In the 2022 cross-country season, he placed 139th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 31:43.8, contributing to Michigan Tech’s program-best 10th-place team finish. His dedication and performance have made him a standout athlete in the GLIAC conference.
