The Boston Celtics have recently been involved in notable player movements concerning former team members.

Danilo Gallinari Signs with Milwaukee Bucks

Danilo Gallinari, who was part of the Celtics organization but did not play due to an ACL injury sustained during international play in 2022, has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. Gallinari was traded to the Washington Wizards in the deal that brought Kristaps Porziņģis to Boston. After brief stints with the Wizards and Detroit Pistons, Gallinari chose to join the Bucks, reuniting with his former coach, Doc Rivers.

Kendrick Perkins Excluded from Celtics’ Celebrations

Former Celtics center Kendrick Perkins, a key contributor to Boston’s 2008 championship, has been notably absent from recent team celebrations and events. Reports indicate that Perkins was excluded from the Celtics’ championship parade and other festivities, possibly due to his critical commentary about the team in his role as an ESPN analyst. This exclusion has sparked discussions about the organization’s stance toward former players who offer candid critiques.

These developments highlight the dynamic nature of relationships between NBA teams and their former players, influenced by career moves, public commentary, and organizational decisions.
