ESPN: Former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star Pitcher Once Again Connected to Cincinnati Reds.

Former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star pitcher Jeff Hoffman has recently been linked to the Cincinnati Reds, a team he previously played for during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Hoffman, who became a free agent after the 2024 season, has garnered interest from multiple teams, including the Reds.

Hoffman’s journey in Major League Baseball (MLB) began when he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Colorado Rockies in 2016 and later played for the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. In 2024, while with the Phillies, Hoffman earned his first All-Star selection, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Following his All-Star season, Hoffman entered free agency and was linked to the Toronto Blue Jays. Reports indicated that he had agreed to a contract with the Blue Jays; however, concerns arose after he reportedly failed a physical examination, leading to uncertainty about the deal’s completion.

Amid these developments, the Cincinnati Reds have emerged as a potential destination for Hoffman’s return. The Reds, looking to bolster their pitching staff, are considering bringing back the right-hander, who previously contributed both as a starter and reliever during his tenure with the team.
