Five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore has officially reaffirmed his commitment to the University of Oregon, despite recent efforts from LSU to sway him. Moore, one of the top-rated wideouts in the 2024 recruiting class, initially pledged to the Ducks back in July, and he made it clear that his decision is final, even as LSU mounted a strong late push to recruit him.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect out of Shreveport, Louisiana, had been at the center of a recruiting battle between Oregon, LSU, and several other programs. However, Moore publicly stated that his recruitment was now “officially closed,” putting to rest any speculation about a potential flip. While LSU’s staff made a significant effort to lure him closer to home, Moore’s loyalty to Oregon, especially under the guidance of head coach Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Will Stein, has remained steadfast.
Moore’s decision to stay committed to Oregon comes at a crucial time for the Ducks, who are looking to continue their rise in the college football ranks. His skill set, which includes blazing speed and exceptional route running, makes him an ideal fit for the high-powered offense Oregon has been building. The Ducks have been successful in landing top-tier recruits, and Moore’s commitment is seen as a significant boost to their receiving corps for the 2024 season.
Despite the intense recruiting battle, Moore’s focus now shifts to preparing for his collegiate career. His decision to stick with Oregon reflects both his trust in the program and his belief in their ability to help him reach the next level. With his recruitment officially closed, Moore will now focus on finishing his high school career strong before arriving at Oregon.
