MTU news: Dean’s announcement to the student..

Dear Students,

As we approach the end of the semester, I want to commend each of you for your dedication and hard work. Your commitment to academic excellence and personal growth is truly inspiring.

Academic Achievements

Congratulations to those who have earned a place on the Dean’s List this semester. Your achievement reflects exceptional effort and determination. For those striving to reach this milestone, remember that the Dean’s List requires completing 12 or more GPA credits with a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Support and Resources

As final exams approach, it’s natural to feel increased pressure. Please remember that the university offers numerous resources to support your well-being and academic success:

Learning Centers: Our Learning Centers are staffed with coaches ready to assist you. You can drop in or make a standing appointment to receive help in various subjects.

Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being: If you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our counselors are here to support you.

Upcoming Events

Engaging in campus activities can provide a healthy balance to your academic responsibilities. I encourage you to participate in the following events:

LeaderShape Institute®: A four-day leadership retreat from December 15th to 18th at the Ford Center in Alberta, MI. This program challenges participants to lead with integrity while working towards a vision grounded in their deepest values. Applications are open, and the priority deadline is November 10th.

Alternative Spring Break: An experiential learning opportunity that promotes service-learning and community building. This year’s trip will travel to Denver, Colorado, to work with affordable housing initiatives. Applications are now open.
