Ambitious Jett Lawrence sets perfect Supercross season goal!

It has never been done before, but Jett Lawrence, having gone undefeated outdoors, is now eyeing up a perfect supercross season that even Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael couldn’t quite accomplish.

McGrath, of course, won all but one event in 1996, and Lawrence isn’t afraid to say his ambitious goals out loud, saying to Jason Weigandt in the SMX preview show, he hasn’t thought much about growing the sport:

It hasn’t really crossed my mind much, Weege. It’s more about how much I can be hated by everyone trying to be as successful as I can. I have got 3-4 championships under my belt; I want to get to two digits and want to see how far I can get“.

Losing a championship is the only thing (he is worried about); even if I got second, I think it would be the biggest disappointment. For supercross trying to go perfect, it has never been done. I might not do it all, but I have to set goals, like making sure I wake up (motivated).”

To have won everything in the USA at just 21, you may think the hunger would start to subside, but, if anything, Jett is more motivated, more outspoken (maybe thanks to the haters), and he wants to beat everyone more badly than he did last year!
