Haiden Deegan and Eli Tomac: Supercross Prep at Its Finest

The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team is revving up for the 2024 AMA Supercross season, kicking off on January 11 in Anaheim, California. In preparation for his first-ever Supercross title pursuit, Haiden “DangerBoy” Deegan has been training with none other than his Star Racing teammate and motocross legend, Eli Tomac.

Tomac, fresh off recovering from a season-ending Achilles injury, has returned to full strength, ready to mentor Deegan at his private ranch in Cortez, Colorado.

The collaboration, featured in a new Dirt Shark video titled Mac N Deegs, highlights their intense sessions as the veteran and the rising star sharpen their skills. Tomac’s experience as a multi-time AMA Supercross Champion provides Deegan invaluable insights, especially as the 17-year-old aims to dominate the 250SX class in only his second professional season.

Deegan is already making waves in motocross, having claimed the 2023-2024 250SX SuperMotocross World Championship and finishing as a runner-up in the 250 East series during his rookie campaign. Training alongside Tomac could be a game-changer, as the mentorship not only boosts Deegan’s speed and endurance but also his confidence ahead of Anaheim 1.

The partnership showcases Yamaha’s commitment to cultivating future champions while allowing its riders to grow through collaboration. Fans are eager to see if this dynamic duo’s preparation will translate into victory on the track as the 2024 season unfolds.
